We accept items on a daily basis while you wait. We will set up an account for you in our computer, label all your bags/boxes and give you a consignment contract. After reviewing your items while you wait, the things we accept for consignment will be entered in the computer under your account. The things we don’t take will be set aside for you to take home or will be donated with your permission.

To accommodate your busy schedules you can use our “Drop and Run” form included on this site.

Please save us time by pre-screening your clothing and other items for stains or excessive wear. We accept items for the current season only (For example, no shorts or summery-items during the cold weather months.) So please save those beautiful Christmas, holiday dresses, shoes, spring, Easter styles, or Halloween Costumes (to name a few) for the appropriate season to ensure your best chance at receiving top dollar.

Consignors may receive 40% of our selling price by check or an additional 20% will be added to your balance due if you prefer to receive in store credit. For example, if an item sells for $10.00, you will receive $4.00 by check or $4.80 in store credit. In either case, no payment is received until after an item sells. Checks are sent out at the end of each month for any merchandise sold that month for amounts in excess of $20. For amounts less than $20, the balance will continue to accrue until the next month. A $1 fee is deducted from all checks for processing and postage.  Store credit accumulates as items sell and remains in consignor’s account until applied toward a purchase.

The consignment period is 60 days. Merchandise will be reduced in price after approximately 30 days.  If the merchandise has not sold after 60 days it will be removed from the sales floor. It will then be held for the consignor to pick up and if not claimed after one week will become the property of Ladybug Landing to be disposed of as they see fit including donations to local charitable organizations. (We encourage consignors to donate – in most cases there will be only a few, less desirable items remaining after 60 days.)

All items are subject to markdowns or seasonal clearance sales at the discretion of management.  The consignment split will be on the final selling price.

Ladybug Landing is not responsible for loss of consigned articles through fire, theft, vandalism or natural disaster.

    Charitable Donations

We encourage all consignors to consider donating their unsold items to charity.  Ladybug Landing is proud to support two very important local organizations.

We have chosen the Florence Crittenton Home as our charity of choice for unsold maternity and baby items.  If you would like to learn more about the Florence Crittenton Home and the important role they play in our community, please visit their website at  http://www.flocrithome.com/.

Our donated clothing for school-age children is provided to  Fayette County school children through a program sponsored  by the Lexington Women's Club.  The Women's Club operates a "store" where school children who are nominated based on need can "shop" for free clothing and other items.
